The main building has two floors: the ground floor, formerly used as a wine cellar or atrium, was where the family stored their food (grain for making gofio, cured cheeses, legumes, potatoes, wine, etc.). Today it has been refurbished and converted into a large, comfortable double room.
The floor is natural clay, and the ceiling -still the original- was built with hardwood from the El Hierro laurel forest (boxwood and mocanera). The combination creates an atmosphere which evokes the tradition and sobriety of the past and the comfort and simple evidence of the current day.
